Hoffman Bros. Blacksmith Shop

Blacksmith Shop

The authentic log building with the blue sign in the center of the photo above, is South Park City's Hoffman Brother's Blacksmith Shop. The building originally was part of the ghost town of Leavick, located near the Horseshoe Cirque (a steep-walled basin on a mountain shaped like half a bowl). Herein are contained many of the implements used in the blacksmith's trade — from bellows to horseshoe nails. The smith not only shod horses, oxen and burros, but repaired mining equipment, wagons and sleighs.
